Last of the George's

Not much going on this summer and much too busy doing the wrong things. Here are some pictures of latest pups out of CH Long Gone George ex CH Keystone's Red Ryder that kept us busy doing the right things. About the only significance to these pups at the moment is due to an unexpected passing these are the last pups out of George.

Great looking pups....Will this be Lacey's last litter too?

Last one for Lacey too.

Craig - I feel that I am passing on a terrific opportunity. I simply cannot take another pup right now.

Lacey is a real 'blue hen' and has produced many very fine bird dogs. Not many trialers would have bred such a competitive female. You have done us a favor by producing the four litters from Lacey. I would like to thank you for my best bird dog to date, my buddy Ted. I would love to have a dozen more like him!

Thanks Mike!

It gives me no greater satisfaction (especially in these days of the ‘sport’) to know that one; Lacey and all her get have won what they did the right way – honest, hard work. They were presented to the public with no cosmetics, no frills, no artificialities and were not run in trials operated by the people that were also behind the dogs. Everything was laid on the line after doing the hard work it requires and what you see is what it is. And some of the best been-there-done-that judges of bird dogs in the business have repeatedly named them championship/classic/futurity winners (Dick Brenneman, Lloyd Murray, Wayne Fruchey, David Fletcher, Tony Bly, Joe McCarl, Bob Stewart, Bill McFadden, Merv Eisenhart, Roger Boser, and many others I hope I didn’t offend by forgetting). It was all done honestly and no one ever felt the need to tell the world or force the issue. Achievement from honest, hard work is the greatest reward! This day and age I think the ultimate goal is being lost from the ‘sport’. The other great satisfaction about Lacey is how her pups have brought the sport of hunting with a bird dog and trialing to so many people. It is a great feeling to see people like Dale Herndon and Richie Frisella brought back into the sport after many years. To see new trailers like yourself or Dennis Vescuso enjoy the sport and success with a first time trial prospect or see a friend win their first CH placement. All of you doing it the same way with honest, hard work! It’s once in a lifetime good stuff. And this fall I am going to go to WI with the three best shooting dogs I have ever walked behind to hunt the north woods and trial a bit. The goal is to have the time of our life and we plan to keep it because I don’t expect to ever be as lucky to see the likes of these three in front of my gun at one time again.
