Keystone Setters - North
Our kennel operation has two locations. Our primary location is in Maryland. However, Bill Henke has been coordinating his efforts with ours. And it seems a fitting home as Bill's Keystone Setters - North is located just a few miles outside of Marienville, PA and is home to RU-CH Montero's Rock and Keystone's Best Bette.
Stud Dog Information
CH/RUCH Keystone's Red Rage(11-16-81) was whelped 2/18/04. Red Rage is an intelligent, class bird dog with an insatiable drive for game who is physically gifted with impeccaple confirmation that makes him powerfully athletic as well as extremely stylish. He is proving the real deal with his pups as he is producing the same qualities. He has produced the 2008 Cover Dog Futurity winner, the 2nd place winner of the 2009 Nat Walking Futurity, the 2009-10 Flanagan Setter Cover Dog Derby of the year, the 2010 Venango Puppy Classic winner, 2010 Blakely Derby Classic winner, 2010 Ruel Henry Pietz Derby Classic Winner, as well as other winners all from bitches of different backgrounds. He is DNA gold star registered with the Am Field and was x-rayed in Dec. 2006, receiving an OFA 'Good' Rating on his hips. CH Keystone's Red Rose
We started the Keystone name with our first champion, CH Keystone’s Red Rose. A 20 time winner, PA Walking Shooting Dog of the year and 1999 PA Grouse Champion. Rosie had sparkle and Style and was one of those setters that could seemingly manufacture birds.
Tri-colors are always great! Pups out of John Theroult's Tricky Dick bred female and sired by CH Keystone's Red Rage (see pedigree link under stud dogs). Raised by kids is always a good combo! These pups are all sold and off to good hunting-trial/field test homes.
